Johan Christoffel Adendorff (Jan Christoffel) 
Johan was born on November 6th, 1825 in "Normandien" Farm, Groot Drakenstein and his baptism took place on January 22nd, 1826 in Paarl. Johan's father was Johannes Christoffel Adendorff and his mother was Magdalena Frederica Heydenrich. His paternal grandparents were Michael Joseph Adendorff and Aletta Henrietta Bredenkamp. He was an only child. He died at the age of 69 on May 7th, 1895 in Newcastle, Colony of Natal.-
