Josina was born on June 6th, 1896.  Josina's father was Hendrik Stephanus Havenga and her mother was Elizabeth Catharina Smit.  Her paternal grandparents were Hermanus Christoffel Havenga and Elizabeth Susanna Smit.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 81 on August 3rd, 1977.  She was buried in Bloemfontein.
