David Schalk Kruger 
David was born about 1887 and his baptism took place on October 9th, 1887 in Bloemfontein. David's father was Willem Jacobus Johannes Kruger and his mother was Anna Elizabeth Maartens. His paternal grandparents were Willem Jacobus Kruger (Johannes) and Johanna Elizabeth van Biljon; his maternal grandparents were David Schalk Maartens and Susanna Maria Fourie. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Willem, Jacobus, Joachim, Susanna, Johanna and Anna. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died before 1951.-
