Joachim (Maart) Hendrik Maartens 
Joachim, known as Maart, was born on November 25th, 1919 in Reddersburg. Maart's father was Joachim Hendrik Maartens and his mother was Maria Elisabeth Maartens. His paternal grandparents were Francois Maartens and Jacomina Jacoba Fourie; his maternal grandparents were Joachim Hendrik Maartens and Maria Elisabeth van Zyl. He had a brother and a sister, named Francois and Maria. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died due to heart disease, Myocardial infarcation, at the age of 64 on April 12th, 1984 in Bloemfontein.General Notes
