Hermanus Hendrik Meyer

Hermanus was born in 1776 and his baptism took place on February 19th, 1776 in Stellenbosch.

Hermanus' father was Hendrik Meyer and his mother was Beatrix Maartens.  His maternal grandparents were Lourens Maartens and Martha Visser. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Christiaan, Johan, Anna and Beatrix.  He was the youngest of the five children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Hendrik, Nicolaas, Casparus, Johannes, Anna, Johanna, Mattheus and Maria.
