Henning Petrus Pretorius (Nicolaas) 
Henning was born in 1891. Henning's father was Jacobus Francois Pretorius and his mother was Anna Catharina Jordaan. His paternal grandparents were Marthinus Wessel Pretorius and Debora Jacoba Retief. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Marthinus, Johannes, Pieter, Pieter, Marthinus, David, Susanna, Anna, Susanna and Debora. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.-
