Maria Johanna Taljaard

Maria was born in 1787 in Cape of Good Hope.  Maria's father was Louis Francois Taljaard and her mother was Dina Elisabeth Lourens.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Taljaard and Maria Petronella Jordaan. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Matthys, Louis, Dirk, Johannes, Joachimus, Cornelis, Dina and Dina.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 89 on September 8th, 1876 in Bloemfontein.
