Levina Dorothea Venter (Aletta) 
Levina's father was Jacob Venter and her mother was Jacomina Jacoba Jansen van Rensburg. Her paternal grandfather was Florus Marthinus Venter (Wynand) and her paternal grandmother is Levina Doretta Kruger (Aletta); her maternal grandparents were Barend Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg (Stephanus) and Martha Johanna van Straaten. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Barend, Hendrik, Jacob, Willem, Hendrina, Susanna, Catharina, Johanna and Elizabeth. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Floris and Louisa.-
