David de Villiers 
David was born in 1701 in Drakenstein. David's father was Jacques (Jacob) de Villiers and his mother was Marguerite Gardiol. His paternal grandparents were Pierre de Villiers and Elizabeth Secault. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, Jan, Jacobus, Jan, Isaac, Susanna, Maria, Johanna, Margaretha and Rachel. He died at the age of 69 on February 16th, 1770 in Vrede en Lust farm, Drakenstein.-
