Aletta (Hannie) Johanna Magdalena van der Merwe 
Aletta, known as Hannie, was born on July 29th, 1852. Hannie's father was David Frederik van der Merwe (Stephanus) and her mother was Sagryda Catharina van Dyk. Her paternal grandparents were Jan Stephanus van der Merwe and NN; her maternal grandparents were Frans van Dyk and NN. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Frans, Koot, Frederik, David, Barend, Catharina and Hendriena. She died from cancer, Carcendua Uteri, at the age of 76 on November 1st, 1928 in At home, Natal Road, Kokstad. She was buried in Dutch Reformed Church Cemetary, Kokstad.General Notes

I have a Baptism (Aletta Sophia van der Merwe 1874) signed by Adriaan Lodewikus Maartens and Aletta Johanna van der Merwe. But I have Aletta married to Adriaan Lourens Albertus Maartens 1853. Married about 1872. Don't know if this has meaning but have to find the marriage certificate.
