Gerrit Stephanus Albertus van Jaarsveld

Gerrit was born on May 29th, 1886 and his baptism took place on July 4th, 1886 in Bloemfontein.  Gerrit's father was Hendrik Christiaan van Jaarsveld and his mother was Elizabeth Johanna Coetzee (Catharina).  His paternal grandparents were Marthinus Jacobus van Jaarsveld and Susanna Catharina van Jaarsveld; his maternal grandparents were Johannes Jacobus Lodewikus Coetzee and Johanna Cornelia Kruger. He had four brothers named Johannes, Hendrik, Schalk and Maarten.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 62 on April 8th, 1949 in Dealesville, Boshoff.
