Sarah Elizabeth van Niekerk (Player)

Sarah Elizabeth Martens b.van Niekerk formerly Player and Mandeville Ayr Smith

Sarah was born on November 13th, 1839 and her baptism took place on April 2nd, 1840 in Pietermaritzburg.  Sarah's father was Isaac Abraham van Niekerk and her mother was Angenitha Maria Olivier    .  Her maternal grandparents are Cornelis Johannes Olivier and Debora Johanna Naude. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Salomon , Cornelis, Gerhardus, Johannes, Debora and Maria.  She died at the age of 58 on July 5th, 1898.
