George Cross Adendorff 
George was born on February 11th, 1893 in Greytown, Natal. George's father was Cornelius (Gempie) Klarus Adendorff and his mother was Anna (Duckie) Maria Isabella Martens. His paternal grandparents were Johan Christoffel Adendorff and Maria Johanna Aveling; his maternal grandparents were Josua Lourens Francois Martens and Elizabeth Maria Martens (Hendrika). Jacobus Joshua Francois Martens and Elisabetta Catharina Jacoba Martens (Maria) were his grandparents through his mother's adoption. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Vincent, Frances, Elizabeth, Hendrika, Judie and Paxie. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 68 on April 7th, 1961 in Kwambonambi, Natal.-
