Hermina Catharina Maartens

Hermina was born about 1745 in Cape Town and her baptism took place on October 17th, 1745 in Cape Town, Cape Of Good Hope.  Hermina's father was Anthonie Maartens and her mother was Catharina Martha Beck.  Her paternal grandparents were Anthony or Anton  Maartens and Hermina  Herwig; her maternal grandparents were Johannes Zacharias Beck and Elsje van As. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Anthonie, Johannes, Jacobus, Catharina and Magdalena.  She was the oldest of the six children.
