Johannes Machiel Maartens 
Johannes was born on November 2nd, 1930 and his baptism took place on June 7th, 1931 in Johannesburg. Johannes' father was Stefanus David Maartens and his mother was Judith Maria Jacoba Willemse. His paternal grandparents were Jacobus Hermanus Maartens and Christina Maria Susanna Viljoen; his maternal grandparents were Johannes Michael Willemse and Johanna Isabella Lubbe (Jacoba). He had four brothers and two sisters, named Jacobus, Stephanus, David, Jacobus, Johanna and Christina. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 60 on February 12th, 1991 in Johannesburg.General Notes
