Paulina (Tant Pauli) Martens 
Paulina, known as Tant Pauli, was born on April 3rd, 1872 and her baptism took place on October 17th, 1872. Tant Pauli's father was Jacobus Joshua Francois Martens and her mother was Susanna Elisabeth Martens. Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik Jacobus Martens and Elizabeth Maria Roos; her maternal grandparents were Jacobus Cornelis Martens and Margaretha Susanna Cloete. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Hendrik, Jacobus, Francois, John, Magrietha, Frederika, Maria, Susanna, Christina, Marthina and Wilhelmina. She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. She had two half-sisters named Elizabeth and Duckie. She died at the age of 82 on September 14th, 1954. She was buried in VRYHEID, Main cemetery.-
