Daniel (Daantjie) Hendrik Martin 
Daniel, known as Daantjie, was born on April 9th, 1914 in "Rooigrond", Mafekeng. Daantjie's father was Hendrik Joachim Martins and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Swanepoel. His maternal grandparents were Daniel Jan Swanepoel (Hendrik) and Petronella Magdalena Nel. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Hendrik, Gert, Nellie, Elizabeth, Martha, Susana, Anne, Johanna and Philipina. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 48 on September 21st, 1962 in Witbank.General Notes

Lived at Tweefontein Mine, Coalville.
