Johanna (Nana) Swanepoel

Johanna, known as Nana, was born on April 7th, 1940 in Samenrus, Rouxville. Nana's father was Christiaan Hendrik Swanepoel and her mother was Margaret Emily Maartens. Her paternal grandparents were Philippus Johannes Swanepoel (Cornelius) and Johanna Christina Jansen van Rensburg; her maternal grandparents were Philippus Johannes Cornelis Martens and Sophia Jacobus Terblanche. She had two brothers named Flip and Christiaan. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 46 in August 1986 in Aliwal North.
