Paul Jacobus Maartens

Paul was born on July 1st, 1878 and his baptism took place on September 1st, 1878 in Barkley East.  Paul's father was Paul Jacobus Maartens and his mother was Hester Maria Magdalena Roets.  His maternal grandparents were Petrus Johannes Roets (Nicolaas) and Johanna  Hendrina Mynhardt. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Johannes, Petrus, Petrus, Johanna, Martha  and Hester.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died before 1924.
