Johannes Hermanus Maartens 
Johannes was born on September 28th, 1911. Johannes' father was Choert (Jr) Maartens and his mother was Catharina Helena Jacoba Fourie. His paternal grandparents were Choert Maartens and Hester Maria Olivier. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Choert, Maarten, Maria and Hester. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Joggie, Willie, Gertie and Johanna. He died from cancer at the age of 64 on December 24th, 1975 in Klerksdorp.General Notes
