Willem (Willie) Pieter Maartens 
Willem, known as Willie, was born on March 10th, 1929. Willie's father was Choert (Jr) Maartens and his mother was Emerentia Frederika de Wet. His paternal grandparents were Choert Maartens and Hester Maria Olivier. He had two brothers and a sister, named Joggie, Gertie and Johanna. Gertie and Willie were twins. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Choert, Johannes, Maarten, Maria and Hester. He died at the age of 64 on March 11th, 1993 in Griekwastad. He was buried in Griekwastad, Pixley ka Seme District Municipality, Northern Cape.General Notes
