We've seen some SPAM hit our website in recent times (even this morning) which has forced us to tighten security on We've employed a brilliant service called Mollom which is a prominent spam counter-measure!

It is being used by the likes of Twitter, The Economist, Thomson Reuters, Symantec, Sony, MIT and Stanford University amongst others.

Added "Martens Diaries 1924-1929"

As you can see, we've made some changes to the existing menu structure on the right-hand side to accommodate for more information.

We've also added parts of the dairy entries of Anna Katherina Martens(Shroenn) that we received from Andrew Harty. Thank you Andrew! We've also added a link to a .pdf of a newspaper clipping of the "The Martens of Doornhoek" article also from Andrew.

We love hearing from all of you and sharing in the history of your family so please let those stories and info continue to come in!
